OPEN CALL: RESIDENCY IN MANCHESTER FOR HK-BASED ARTIST
The British Council Hong Kong, in partnership with the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art and Phillips, are now accepting applications from Hong Kong-based artists for a fully funded, 9-week residency at the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art in Manchester, UK.
The aim of the residency is to support a HK-based artist with socially-engaged practices. This will be an opportunity for the artist to develop their area of interest and create a new work/project by working closely with a local context. We encourage artists to connect with others through their work to demonstrate how artistic and social practices can stimulate engagement and positive change in communities; including but not limited to projects that foster greater inclusion and wellbeing. The CFCCA team will be able to support the selected artist in connecting with local communities and collaborators.
APPLY: To apply or if you have any enquiries, please read our application pack carefully or email CFCCA Curator: tiffany@cfcca.org.uk.
DEADLINE: 25th of October 2019, 5pm GMT.
