More women are writing about China, doing business in China and generally doing interesting things in China than ever before, and we want more of their voices to be heard.
NüVoices is an international editorial collective gathering veteran and emerging writers, journalists, translators and artists to celebrate and support the diverse creative work of self-identified women and minorities working on the subject of China (broadly defined).
We heartily welcome the involvement of people of all genders, including those who identify as non-binary, and the many good men who already support our mission and contribute to our cause. NüVoices is trans-positive.
We are working on our first anthology to showcase great work from women on China and our members host events worldwide to create a powerful, supportive network that spans the globe.
Our directory of 600 international female experts on Greater China is a popular tool for journalists and event organizers and has significantly boosted women and minorities’ representation in media stories and conference programming.
Our twice-monthly podcast regularly features women’s and minorities’ voices on a range of topical issues.
Our online magazine NüStories regularly publishes narrative essays, event reviews, articles, multimedia projects and other original content.
As a collective, we welcome participation from writers and artists as well as all readers and art consumers — please get in touch if you’d like to be involved in organizing new events and initiatives or to provide feedback on our projects.
